Six-week introductory course in Mindfulness
Course outline
This six-week course teaches how to develop more focused and present attention, to improve self-perception, and to experience a sense of greater ease and well-being in one's own life.
A series of mindfulness meditations will be taught and practical ways to integrate mindfulness into daily activities at work, at home, and in personal relationships will be shown.
The course includes
- the practice of meditation and the development of awareness of breath, body, feelings, and thoughts,
- techniques for dealing with stress and for moving from automatic reactions to conscious response behavior,
- the recognition and release of unhelpful habitual thoughts,
- the exploration, the understanding, and the handling of a number of emotional states.
Who can participate?
This course is designed for beginners in mindfulness practice, but also for those who want to refresh the basic principles and techniques of mindfulness practice.
Those who sometimes feel stressed or controlled by others or by situations, or those who feel the need for some "headspace", are certainly not alone. Mindfulness can be a powerful tool in dealing
with these smaller and larger challenges and to help regain an inner balance.
